Blizzard closed its BlizzCon 2026 opening ceremony by revealing World of Warcraft: Forever , the project players have been calling Classic+ for years. It is built by the WoW Classic team and is set during the first year of original Azeroth — after Warcraft III and before the Dark Portal reopens. More than 1,000 new quests, 600+ profession recipes, account-wide Legacy perks and the Campfire social system. A new 15v15 battleground: the Darkspear Islands. Level 60 stays permanent: Blizzard is not planning level-cap increases. Forever lives alongside modern and Classic WoW as its own continuity.
